There are more than 12 million people employed in the manufacturing industry in the United States, accounting for nine percent of the workforce. Individuals who work in the industry must be knowledgeable about manufacturing process design and production, supply chain logistics, quality assurance and continuous improvement, and health, safety, and environment.
Loughner and Associates has developed custom training solutions for manufacturing operations for pharmaceutical, steel, and chemical companies.
Example Projects
Project 1
Loughner and Associates designed and developed training to support the implementation of lean operations at multiple sites of a major pharmaceutical company. Training was developed for various areas of the product supply chain, including procurement, manufacturing, and packaging. As trusted partners, Loughner and Associates participated in integration testing, and consulted with teams responsible for work process mapping to identify training needs and appropriate solutions. Deliverables included eLearning modules, Instructor-led training, Structured On-the-Job Training, quick reference guides, coaching guides, and feedback checklists for more than 25 new processes and content areas.
Project 2
Loughner and Associates created the curriculum and led the design and development of training to integrate the use of a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform upon the purchase of a manufacturing facility by a pharmaceutical company. Instructor-led training, eLearning, and Structured On-the-Job Training programs were developed to train employees on new business processes and relevant SAP transactions. Content areas included supply chain planning, procurement, production scheduling, manufacturing, packaging, quality management, and warehouse management.
