Global health organizations focus on improving health for all people around the globe. The health conditions that are often targeted are sometimes viewed as diseases of poverty and include tuberculosis, maternal and reproductive health, HIV/AIDs, and malaria.
Loughner and Associates has developed custom learning solutions for highly respected organizations focusing on global health.
Example Projects
Project 1
Loughner and Associates worked with procurement and logistics leaders of a global health organization to develop and implement a plan to introduce the use of best practice supply chain strategies globally. Solutions included a new intranet site accessible by 70 offices around the world, and warehouse management guidelines designed to help country offices satisfy minimum warehousing requirements. The guidelines were also designed for use in a Structured On-the-Job Training (SOJT) program.
Project 2
Loughner and Associates designed and developed a five-day Instructor-led program to prepare health care workers in developing countries to identify and conduct quality improvement initiatives. Participants learned how to identify opportunities for improvement and plan small quality improvement initiatives. Topics included quality improvement tools, measurement using quantitative and qualitative data, working in teams and team building, and principles of management conducive to building quality.
